You don't need to travel far to enjoy an escape! We may not be able to travel abroad, and in some cases, even interstate, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little getaway. Still looking for the perfect getaway to feel like you're on holidays? Here's one of our favourite local Gold Coast Staycations, the QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise. Here is our review of the experience!
There is so much to love about the QT Hotel, Surfers Paradise, from ocean views, the pool which will have you feeling like you're on the French Riviera, to the find dining experience that is Yagamen, to cocktails at the Stingray lounge and a drool worthy breakfast buffet. The location is also also perfectly situated in Surfers Paradise, walking distance to the beach, Cavil Avenue and the Gold Coast tram lines.
We booked our stay via Booking.com for the best rates. We were lucky enough that we even got an email from them offering a lower priced room upgrade and breakfast inclusive package. If you book via our link we will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
The QT Hotel Rooms:
We recommend booking an ocean front room, you won't regret it, enjoy balcony views over the Gold Coast's most iconic beach, Surfers Paradise and looking down over the hotels ultra luxurious pool area. The rooms have spacious and comfortable king beds and modern designs with that iconic and eccentric QT hotel feel.
The QT Hotel Pool: The Spring
You'll want to make plenty of time to spend at the Spring, the QT Hotel's iconic poolside precinct. Think Palm Springs meets luxury French Riviera vibes. It is the perfect spot to relax with a cocktail in hand.
Yagaman Japanese Restaurant:
If you're staying at the QT hotel, be sure to book dinner at Yagamen Japanese restaurant. It is one of the Gold Coast's best izakaya dining experience, so book in early as it often gets full. We opted for the $90 tasting menu, which was 100% worth it. The fine dining selection of market fresh sashimi, sashimi tacos (The absolute best thing on the menu - you cant miss it!), lamb cutlets and wagyu beef was incredible. There is also ala carte menu options too.
The Stingray lounge bar:
During your stay, be sure to stop for a cocktail or bar snack at the Stingray lounge bar. We loved the stylish and eclectic design.
The QT Hotel Bazaar Buffet:
Be sure to book your hotel room stay with breakfast included because the Bazaar marketplace breakfast buffet is one of the best on the Gold Coast! Our highlights were the chocolate milk station, fresh juices, an array of the best hot breakfast including classic favourites of hash browns, sausages, scrambled eggs, fresh açai bowls and an omelette station. For those with a sweet tooth, we also loved the crepes, and pastry selection.
Breakfast prices are from $39.50 for adults and $15 for children. The Bazaar also offers a dinner option from $75 for adults and $29 for children.
