If you're looking for a family friendly day out filled with animals and a sense of giving back (all within 30 minutes to 1 hours drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast), take a visit to Death Row Unchained Animal rescue sanctuary, located in Burbank on the Redlands Coast, Queensland.
Getting to Death Row Unchained:
The easiest option to get there is via driving to the Redlands Coast. They are located at 1374 Mt Cotton Road and offer plenty of parking onsite.
About Death Row Unchained:
Death Row Unchained supports rescuing all animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals including goats, cows, pigs, horses and more. They provide an open and safe home for the animals to live, offer vet care, training and rehabilitation for these animals. They are a fully not for profit organisation dependent on revenue from their tours and merchandise.
Farm and Animal Sanctuary tours:
They offer farm and animal sanctuary tours on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays in the morning and afternoon. Tours run for 1 hour, and include options for feeding their resident cows plus making some great friends with the local goats. The goats love a good selfie!
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.
What to pack for your visit to the farm:
Planning a trip? Be sure to wear inclosed shoes as you wander through the farm. As it's mostly outdoors, we also recommend to bring a long a hat and water. Sunscreen is provided on site.
