Our review and guide to Opus Grill at the Hilton Hotel, Singapore
When we are craving a high-end steak, one of our favourite indulgences is the Opus Bar & Grill at Hilton Hotel. While the steak may be on the pricy side, it's value for the quality and what is even better is that from Sun-Thurs, any sharing sized steak includes free-flow wine for free. On weekends wine bottles are 50% off with all sharing steaks.
The Atmosphere at Opus Grill
Opus is located on the lobby floor of the Hilton Hotel, tucked away behind the bar, giving it a private and quiet feel. Along the bar you can see the meat cuts and fresh lobster. Behind the tables, there's also a greenhouse that you can enter to see many of the fresh vegetables, herbs and spices growing.
The Food: Steak, steak and more steak
Our Starters:
As our main meal plans included eating up to 1kg of steak, we opted to skip the starters. However, all meals come with a free serving of warm fresh bread, crisped with melted cheese and garlic butter. This was more than enough to keep our stomachs satisfied until the mains arrived.
Our Mains: The Steaks
On our first visit to Opus, we ordered the 1kg Whiskey-Aged F1 Wagyu Tomahawk ($158). This steak was the freshest of Australian beef, 300 days grain feed, with a marble score of 5. For the price with our wine included this was a great deal. Along with the taste, the arrival of this steak comes with a real show as it's set on fire over a shot of Whiskey.

On our second visit we opted to try the 1kg grill-smoked Sirloin, also a top-quality Australian Beef which we enjoyed as well (no fire show for this one though).
We also selected a few sides of veggies and the Over-The-Top Fries ($15) which can't be missed. These fries are cooked in Foie Gras fat and topped with Parmesan cheese and black truffle.
