Our bar view of Level Up - Clarke Quay:
Level Up, located in the vibrant and energetic Clarke Quay, Singapore, guarantees a night of fun. The bar is filled with arcade games, locally inspired snacks and cocktails and some excellent live music.
Getting to Level Up - Clarke Quay:
Arriving at the bar on level two of one of Clarke Quay's colourfully painted shop houses, we were greeted with street art and neon lighting, a photo stop was a must before entering. There was no cover charge to enter, win!
Level Up - the bar and live music:
This retro arcade game bar had a great crowd with a happening vibe for Friday night. Mostly popular with late teens and young adults, however there was a mix of all ages to be seen. A live band was playing all the quintessential crowd favourite classic bar songs, from the Killers, to Queen to Bon Jovi. The drinks were reasonably priced, with a selection of local cocktails, including an alcoholic Milo Dinosaur.
Level Up's arcade games:
With every drink purchased comes tokens to play the arcade games, there's also an option to purchase additional tokens. Most games take 1-2 tokens. Even on a busy Friday night, we only ever had to wait for one or two people to have a go at each game before it was our turn. Games included air hockey, basketball, shooting, race car driving, darts, pool and the more classic video games. Our favourites were the basketball and darts. Darts however was $2 to play and didn't take tokens.
Getting to Level Up:
The bar is open daily from 5pm until 1am - 3am depending on the night.
